San Francisco diary 3: Terms conditions and hockey

We went to visit Adobe. Sounds great right? Well it took us about half an hour just to get there and we figure out that they are in the part of city that just does not feel and smell right. We also almost get attacked by angry homeless man. So in case you don't like Adobe programs or you are struggling with illustrator pen tool for more than sic month like I do... it kind of explains where these ideas comes from.

On the other hand once we opened the building (no, we haven't read the terms and condition, we just crack it open) they all were really nice. And I have to say, lot better than Facebook and Google. more or less just because they showed us different areas of work and not just one. There were girl from creative residence, another girl that talk about Adobe xD, which is program that is in beta so far and lets face it, you'll might end up hating it because it crush a lot. But the interface is a lot better than any of the other program such as Photoshop or Illustrator. And then there was a woman who talk about education within the Adobe which was interesting to hear even for someone who is not digging their program.
What most of the people appreciate was the fact that they didn't walk to the merchandise store but actually give us something small like thermosis, bags and surprisingly scarfs and hats cause: "I know it is little bit silly but in the evening it gets cold even here," so yes we get winter cloths in California. Something I never though I'll say.

And because we already eat once in china town than lets try to uber ourself to japan town shell we? Well, we did anyway. Apparently you are supposed to talk to uber driver.  Oh Denmark I got so used to be quiet people thanks to you...

Japan town is cool, they have all kinds of festivals and also seems to be more open to common people and tourist once you come there. but I'm not capable to recognize Chinese food from japanese food so it is not that big difference for me anyway. or at least when it comes to the food. The other things I prefer Japan for freedom and not being arsehole.
Anyway most cool part of the day for me was trip with Dorthe and Lykke (danish girls in case you¨re wondering about the names) to the San Jose. Now, I'm not big sports fan, most of the time I'm glad that I know that the particular sports exist, but I never know whether you score by goals, points or anything else. I'm watching hockey more or less just because I grew up with professional hockey player and apparently in Czech you just have to keep up with at least on sport otherwise you're loser. Horses for some reason don't count (really unfair).

So we went to NHL game, San José vs. Vancouver canucks. more or less because there are the most Danes on ice and I wouldn't convince danish people to go with me otherwise. I know that there is Hertl in San José but to be honest I have never been that big fan of the nationalism to actually care that there is someone who was born on same territory as me.

So there we were. Sitting on the highest seats in San José ice stadium, so far away that we don¨t get even blood spills on us (I was very dissappointed by that). First thing we find out that American getting all weird about national anthems. They sing both the Canadian and the American with hand on the heart. if that is not weird enough - do you know that part of American hymn "and the land of free..." well the singer holds the note there longer then she should till all of them reach some weird kind of orgasm. Hymnorgasm I guess.

Another thing that we found out was that there are lot of swedes. More specifically 350 of them. Do you know who Danes hate? Swedes. So for while I was really worried that there will be hockey fight just not in the ice.

Anyway that was basically end of the day. By the end of game I was so tired I even almost fell asleep on the game (how dare I right? but they were so small..) after that we just figured out our way back to San Francisco, going through the streets that looked like czech streets in the night so Danes were terrified and just went to sleep.
